Someone asked me to write a testimonial about my journey…. So here goes… In the aftermath of a painful divorce and job that was more of a drain than a blessing, I found myself at crossroads. 26 years of marriage ended, leaving me in despair, overwhelmed with guilt and shame. There is always enough blame to pass around but I won’t dwell on any of that now. My workplace was suffocating, not due to the tasks or colleagues, but the suffocating micromanagement style that made me feel inadequate to do my job despite being the campus expert.
Marriage, to me, was a lifelong commitment. The end of mine was more than a heartbreak; it was a blow to my belief system. It cut me to the core. With my heart shattered in a million pieces and my spirit fading fast, I knew I had to make a decision or I would go crazy. I chose not to let life control me; but instead, I grabbed it by the horns and took control of my life. My other thought in all this is “Hey and I might as well make some money”
My Journey: You Have To Make A Choice
There is so much pain and disappointment in my past so I won’t eloborate on them here as I tend to allow those things to drive me into dark places. I still work on them to overcome them but don’t let them dictate what my future will be.
I found RRR247, a beacon of hope in my storm. The founders, Rory and Tanya mirrored the spirit of enduarnce. They had their share of trials, triumphs, and tenacity. I saw in them as like minded individuals. They show everyone what it means to have a desire to overcome, to persist, and to succeed. They are true servant leaders.
I was also teamed up with Shane my instructor. He is amazing. He has always been there to assist as I needed and even throw you in the deep end when it was time to sink or swim. His knowledge and understanding of the business are immeasurable.
My Journey: New Starts
My initial journey with RRR247 was bumpy. My confidence wavered, leadership skills were wanting, and the urge to prepare rather than act held me back. I was always “getting Ready to get Ready”. I was anxious about customer interaction, unsure about processes, and felt like a novice tossed into the deep waters.
Shane came early for a convention and stayed with me for a few days. My intention was to pick his brain and see how this worked first hand. On the first day he set his computer up next to mine and got me logged in on the GOYA ( customer service) line. Shane was taking calls on his computer and then it happened. He was on a call and another one came in. He said “answer it”!
My first customer interaction was like traversing a minefield blindfolded. I was nervous, unprepared, but I endured. That experience was one of my catalyst for growth and transformation. The other was a new program taught by Laura. BANK training was the key I was looking for. I have been in customer service since I was 15. I could talk and be comfortable with most anyone but I didn’t have the confidence in my abilities. These two things helped me seize the reins and forged my path and renew my energy.
My Journey: Full Time
The pivotal date of September 30, 2022, marked my full-fledged commitment to RRR247. The BANK program became my compass, providing me with tools to communicate, understand, and connect more effectively. I began to see people, their needs, and how I could make a difference.
While shadows of loneliness and depression lurk at times, my purpose fuels my persistence. The desire to create a haven where families can reclaim their time and financial freedom, keeps me moving. My goal is clear – uplift as many as I can, and my success will inevitably follow.
My Future Is Bright!!
Each day is a stride towards my vision, a vision born amidst adversity. Today, I stand a different man, resilient, determined, and ready to take on life’s curveballs. I’m on a mission to rewrite my story and elevate it beyond past heights.
This journey is a testament to my indomitable spirit, my resilience, and my unflinching faith in the possibility of change.
